The Azenis RT660+ is Falken’s Extreme Performance Summer tire developed for motorsports enthusiasts, participants in track days, or any driver looking for competition-ready levels of dry traction and handling. The Azenis RT660+ is designed to provide maximum performance in warm, dry to damp conditions, and like all Extreme Performance Summer tires, is not intended to be serviced, stored, nor driven in near-and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
The Azenis RT660+ builds off of the popular RT660 with several refinements, including better heat management, weight reduction and a larger contact patch to improve handling predictability. The track-tested motorsports-derived tread compound remains unchanged, beyond manufacturing improvements to enhance durability while still delivering superior traction for acceleration, braking, and handling in dry and wet conditions. The low-void, directional pattern maximizes the rubber in contact with the surface. Massive shoulders deliver extreme levels of lateral grip, and the broad, continuous center rib provides solid on-center feel and longitudinal traction for acceleration and braking. Deep, circumferential grooves and full-depth notches help evacuate water from the contact patch to enhance hydroplaning resistance.
The internal construction of the Azenis RT660+ features a two-ply, polyester casing utilizing Falken’s Crosshatch Carcass design to enhance handling and stability. Two wide, steel belts support the tread area and are reinforced by a single polyamide cap plies to further improve handling and high-speed capability.
Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels, or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.
